Stranger Things Season 5 Review: Will’s New Powers, Vecna’s Rise, and an Explosive Build-Up to Volume 2

Netflix released the first four episodes of Stranger Things Season 5, Volume 1, on November 26, picking up in 1987 as Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, and friends battle Demogorgons and Vecna in Hawkins. Here is the Stranger Things Season 5 review.

The four episodes of Stranger Things season 5 is out. The first scene of the first episode feels like one is watching the grand finale. All the elements from season one have been added piece by piece. The way all the story threads have been gathered one can expect a good conclusion.

Standout scenes include Will Byers revealing possible powers in a fiery street chaos and Max Mayfield’s tense return in a forest fight. The episodes build to a cliffhanger, with Volume 2 set for Christmas Day and the finale on New Year’s Eve. Millie Bobby Brown thanked the Duffer Brothers for her journey as Eleven.

They start from Season one where Will had disappeared. So they try to recreate scenes from season one. We meet the same characters who were kids earlier. Vecna can be seen in the most powerful form. Will unlocks new powers that mirror Vecna’s own and uses them to kill three demogorgons, proving that his connection to Vecna never broke and setting him up as a direct counter to the villain. Vecna grew stronger by taking Holly and other weak kids in Hawkins, while Max remains trapped inside his mindscape, hiding in the cave where Vecna cannot follow and waiting for a way back. The finale teases an even bigger clash as Will’s powers and Vecna’s army rise toward volume 2.
