Aaryan Review: Strong Performances & Thrills, Yet Falls Short of Becoming a Truly Impactful Crime Drama

The Tamil film Aaryan was released on October 31, 2025, is directed by Praveen K, and stars Vishnu Vishal, Selvaraghavan, and Shraddha Srinath. The film was on Netflix as of November 28, 2025.

In the film, a struggling writer, before his death, announces on TV that he has made a perfect plan to kill five people in the next five days. So, will the police be able to save these five people before they die or not? This film is a fast-paced crime thriller. The story of this film is interesting and engaging. The element of urgency in the story has also been maintained decently from start to end. The audience will get to see some action in the movie.

Aaryan delivers gripping thrills, exceptional performances, and emotional depth—cinema that’s intense, intelligent, and unforgettable. However, the killer’s motive behind what he does is not that convincing. The performances of the actors, the music, and the production work of the film are decent. People who like watching fast-paced crime investigative thrillers then they will enjoy watching the film.

A viewer wrote on Twitter (X) about the film, “#Aaryan – Misses the Mark this time! Serial killer template tries hard to be Ratchasan in scene sequences but suffers from the straight-fwd narration which just is a repeating set of same events & not much thrills worked out… Motive reveal gubeer max!”

Another viewer wrote on Twitter, “Some films look like fever dreams being brought to life in the guise of innovation and “creativity”. Losing the senses in trying to establish a “right villain” and “selfless hero” cannot help anyone. #Aaryan is a movie that kills its own idea like a snake eating its own egg, unable to withstand hunger, in this case ambition. Technically it looks decent, but fails to immerse audiences in its “left-right” universe.”
