Aanand L. Rai’s Tere Ishq Mein Promises Obsession, Hatred & Heartbreak in a Powerful Dhanush–Kriti Saga

Tere Ishq Mein is directed by Aanand L. Rai. The lead actors in the film are Dhanush and Kriti Sanon. The film will release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages on November 28, 2025.

Tere Ishk Mein teaser screamed Raanjhana-style obsessive love from Varanasi boy Shankar (Dhanush) for Mukti (KritiSanon), like drowning in Ganga vibes. It is about how Shankar turns from a mad lover to a fighter pilot. The trailer looks like a complete emotional inferno. In it Mukti says, “Still aggressive, still angry—you love this image of yourself.” The movie showcases a raw and volatile romance. The chronology is that it starts from hate to love, and then love will turn into hatred. The matter in the end will go straight to death. There is a dialogue in the film which states that there is death in love, not liberation.

The music for the film and song titled “Tere Ishq Mein” was composed by the legendary A. R. Rahman. The title track was sung by Arijit Singh, with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil. Dhanush and Kriti Sanon brought their characters to life with flawless expressions and perfect timing. A brilliant performance from start to finish. Dhanush’s character is someone who is crazy in love, but what Kriti Sanon portrays in the trailer creates a strong sense of curiosity among the audience.

Overall, director Aanand L. Rai has played with fire. Everyone falls in love, but this time he is making us feel hatred. Moreover, the music of the film gives goosebumps. From the trailer one can make out that Tere Ishq Mein is not a happy ending love story.
